DESCRIPTION:Get Event Access \nIn this workshop you will explore the concepts of: \n\n\n\nSocial solidarity economy\nHuman security in the context of sustainable development\nOpen government and innovation\n\n\n\nThis session will present how local governments should address these issues\, especially in a post-pandemic context. \nAt the end of this workshop you will be able to: \n\n\n\nIdentify the necessary factors for local innovation\nUnderstand the cycles of public innovation for local development\nAnalyze the dimensions of local development in a context of social solidarity economy\nUnderstand the challenges of implementation\n\n\n\n  \nAbout the Facilitator: \nCurrently a researcher at Florida International University. She was First Lady of the Republic of Costa Rica (May 2014 – May 2018) assuming the coordination of the Program for the promotion of territorial development and promotion of public policies of decentralization and promotion of social solidarity economy. \nFor more than a decade she worked at the Foundation for Local Development and Municipal and Institutional Strengthening of Central America and the Caribbean (DEMUCA Foundation)\, an instrument of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). She did consulting work with the United Nations\, the European Union; with the Rainforest Alliance Foundation and with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture\, IICA / OAS. \nShe has a Master’s Degree in International Relations: Integration\, Development Cooperation and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Sociology\, with a specialty in International Relations and Latin American Studies from the Complutense University of Madrid. \n  \nSupport: \nFLACMA \nFENAMM \n  \n*You will receive your certificate via e-mail for you to print.
